Janna Christy:
Thanks!! It’s awesome to get this opportunity!
CMP: How long
have you been modeling and why did you decide to get in modeling?
Janna Christy:
I’ve been a model for just over a year. I chose to be a model because I
always wanted it as a little girl.
CMP: What was
your first modeling job and how did it turn out?
Janna Christy:
I started as a live model for a designer in a mall. I had to pose in a
window and people would walk by. It was so hard to be still because people
would try and make you laugh or move. I’m the type to laugh and so I don’t
think that was my strong point!
CMP: Have you
ever had an embarrassing moment on a model shoot or at an event?
Janna Christy:
Not really... Came close to falling because honestly, I don’t walk in heels
unless I’m shooting or on a runway!
CMP: Being in
the same business I know there are all kinds of people, have you had to deal
with, any shady dumb ass “professionals” that if you just do this, then they
can make this happen because they know people?
Janna Christy:
I have shady people contact me a lot. I ignore them. I’ve had a lot of
people to talk to about things like that and so far I have never had an
uncomfortable moment because I know the signs to look for and I watch
myself. You can’t forget you work with strangers all the time and
unfortunately you get some who want to ruin things for everyone.
CMP: What is
your overall modeling goal, Playboy, movies, lots of covers?
Janna Christy: My main goal is Victoria’s
Secret. I feel like you can make it huge without being naked. (Ask Tyra!)
Victoria’s Secret proves that. Sexy as can be but it still leaves something
to the imagination.
CMP: Lets get
to know you a little better. Who is the Janna Christy?
Janna Christy:
Janna Christy is my first and middle name. I’m a cosmetology student
as well as a business student, waitress and model. My life never seems to
slow down but I’m used to staying busy. Even if I don’t have anything to do,
I’ll find something to do or somewhere to go!
CMP: Describe
yourself in 5 words
Janna Christy: Outgoing, spontaneous,
optimistic, confident, real.
CMP: Biggest
misconception people have about you?
Janna Christy: I’m bitchy. I’m a motor sports
model so I don’t give off a bubblegum princess image. I’m not mean or rude.
I like being funny and meeting new people!
CMP: What do
your family, friends or co-workers think of you modeling?
Janna Christy: They’re excited about it. My
family doesn’t live close so when we actually get together they’re eager to
see my updated books. At first I was scared to do swimwear because I didn’t
know what they’d say about it! Ever since then they always look forward to
hearing about it and I always welcome their constructive criticism.
CMP: Two
questions that I am always asked about a model, natural or implants and
workout queen or good genes?
Janna Christy: I’m natural… everywhere. I
wouldn’t do implants because I’d look out of proportion. I actually have
pretty good genes. I work out when I have time and I won’t lie…I don’t
really eat right like I should. My mother is just over 6’ tall and thin. I
just work on toning myself but waiting tables and running around all day
helps a lot!
CMP: Any projects that you are involved in that
we need to be on the look out for?
Janna Christy: I’m currently working with the
Hot Import Nights doing some promotion and runway. I’ve had some other
offers but nothing solid yet. I am also represented by UmbrellaGirlsUSA so
be on the lookout for future promotion
work!
CMP: What do you think gives you an edge over
other models that don't quite make it?
Janna Christy: I don't have patience. I don't
wait for people to call me very much if it’s been awhile. I ask a LOT of
questions about what I'm doing with this person/company. Also, I keep an
open mind and understand that even though modeling is a long process, you
have to work for yourself.
CMP: Are
there any rumors or persistent stupid questions that you want to put to rest
for once and for all?
Janna Christy: I’ve never had breast implants.
Yes, I eat- a lot actually. And yes, I’m taken.
CMP: If you
could move anywhere and do anything, where and what would it be?
Janna Christy: I can’t stand cold weather so
I’d go anywhere tropical. Hawaii, Bahamas, doesn’t matter. I’d model for
Victoria’s Secret!!
