CMP: We
would like to welcome the Oregon Model Jamie Lee King to the Carolina Model
Project!
Jamie Lee King:
YAY! Thank you
J
CMP: How
long have you been modeling and how did you get started in the business?
Jamie Lee King:
I’ve always wanted to model, even when I was little. Someone saw my
pictures and asked me to model
CMP: Who
is real Jamie Lee King behind the image that the public sees the sexy
images?
Jamie Lee King:
I am a real person. I’m happy and outgoing.
CMP: I
was reading your page and see that you are a married with kids. Does
that affect you when you’re considering what jobs take or photo shoots
will do?
Jamie Lee King: Well,
when the photographer asks me to smile I think of them and my smile
comes natural!
CMP: I
have worked with models that have had boyfriends and husbands that range
from the manager to the overly jealous type get in the way. How does you
husband deal with having a very attractive model wife and I am sure
other men’s attention?
Jamie Lee King: At
first he was kind of jealous…but now he’s just happy that I’m doing what
I love.
CMP:
Talking with models during events about the fact that some people can't
separate them from their images (because we all know that models walk
around in four inch heels and string bikinis when go to the store). Does
it bother you that some people can’t separate the “image” of a model
from the real person?
Jamie Lee King:
It does a little, but I’d just like for those people to get know a
model and they would see that a model is just a real person.
CMP: What
do you think separates you from other models and gives you an edge?
Jamie Lee King:
I’ve worked with some models that complain about
working and they act like they don’t like to model. I LOVE TO MODEL! I like to
try new things and make great pictures… I can stand in the snow in a bikini in
the middle of winter and still be having fun.
CMP: Some
models ultimate goals are Playboy, TV shows, Maxim, or to be like Jenna
Jameson. What would be ultimate career goal?
Jamie Lee King:
I would love to be in playboy and maxim a lot.
But I don’t want to be like Jenna (I’m sure she’s a really nice person.)
I want to be like me. My main goal is to do as much as I can and to
just keep having fun!
CMP: What
has been your most embarrassing moment on a model shoot or at an event?
Jamie Lee King: It
happens a lot so I’m kinda use to it now. When you “pop” out off your
clothes. Ha-ha.
CMP: I
was talking to a young lady that
wants
to get in to modeling and I was explaining to her that great bodies are
everywhere but great personalities are not. What would advice would you
give to someone wanting to get in the business of modeling and choosing
photographer, etc?
Jamie Lee King:
I was just talking to a lady yesterday that
was saying how nice it would be to be pretty. I told her that I think
it’s better to have a good personality. She said well, I have that. I
later walked away and watched how everyone was flocking around her. I
think if she was a model with a bad attitude.. no one would talk to her
or even want to be around her. Sure they might look, But would they want
to get to know her? No.
CMP: Have
you had that star moment where someone has recognized you from your
images on the web at the grocery store in sweats for example and wanted
your autograph or just stared to long for comfort?
Jamie Lee King:
No, no lol.. I don’t need that. I’m kinda glad I live in a small town
J
CMP: When
the conversation of plastic surgery comes up at events some people love
to talk about it in detail, other shy away, and some express that they
want to get everything from implants to Restylane. One contestant
expressed that she has won more contest and received more work since she
got her implants. Do you think it puts pressure on models that do not
have implants to get them or get other procedures done? Or does it even
matter?
Jamie Lee King: I
think that so many girls have implants now. I think photographers like
a natural body….and a natural face.
CMP: Any
projects that you are involved in that we need to be on the look out
for?
Jamie Lee King: hopefully
maxim soon
J
CMP: What
do your family, friends or co-workers think of you modeling?
Jamie Lee King: They
like it. They always want to know what I’m doing next and they want to
see the photos.
CMP:
Always a fun question to ask, Blondes vs. Brunettes who wins and why?
Jamie Lee King: Well
I’m a blonde but if want to change the color of my hair I could…I don’t
think the hair color matters. It’s all in the attitude.
CMP:
Where else can you be found on the web (saves time from “Google”ing you)
and do you have your own website?
Jamie Lee King:
More places then I actually know I think. Lol.
CMP: Are
there any projects that you are involved in that we need to be on the
look out for?
Jamie Lee King:
I’ll
let you know!
J
CMP: It
was a pleasure getting to know you little better and we wish you
continued success in your modeling career!
Jamie Lee King:
Thank
you! Fun-fun!
