presents: Dana Lemor

CMP: We would like to welcome the Miami, Florida Model Dana Lemor to the Carolina Model Project!

Dana Lemor:  Thanks a lot! It is a great honor to be a part of the CMP family!

CMP: Who is Dana and what is a day in the life of Dana like?

Dana Lemor:  Dana is a little hottie raised in a Conservative Jewish family (Lol!) A day in my life goes a little something like this: I get up in the morning, go to the gym to work out. My favorite is spinning and Pilates! I like to cook healthy meals to keep up my energy. I do a lot of work on the computer, as far as submissions and checking on castings and jobs. I go to appointments with the local agencies..

CMP: How is the modeling scene in Miami and how do you think it ranks against NY and LA?

Dana Lemor:  Miami is seasonal in the fashion industry. It follows the trends of Paris and Milan which set the tone. Commercial work is available year-round. The LA scene is more acting oriented. As far as modeling, LA has more of an American flare, whereas Miami is more International. The New York scene is a mix of high-fashion and runway.

CMP: When I Googled your name, I found you are on a lot of websites with some great images of you (two green leafs, caution tape), what makes a great image to you?

Dana Lemor: Isn’t this business great? I am very proud of my work. A great image to me is capturing a moment. You have to capture the mood, movement, expression and ambience of the moment.

CMP: Speaking of the Internet, I see that you have a MySpace page, are you a MySpace addict?

Dana Lemor: No I am not a Myspace addict (Lol) I use Myspace as a networking tool and have acquired some bookings from there.

CMP: Which part of your body gets the most compliments and is there a part that you wished got more compliments?

Dana Lemor:  My butt seems to get a lot of attention. I wish that my hands would get more complimented, they are pretty and feminine (Lol!) One of my goals is to be a hand model.

CMP: I will go out on a limb and say that I think that you are all natural. Do you think that industry puts pressure for models to get plastic surgery?

Dana Lemor:  If you’re asking if my breasts are natural, yes they are. I would say that there is a lot of pressure to get surgery, but I try not to get pressured.

CMP: I know there are all kinds of people in this industry. Have you had to deal with any shady dumb ass “professionals” that if you just do this, then they can make this happen because they know people, and what advice would you give to someone starting out?

Dana Lemor: I have run into a couple of wannabes who have tried to impress me with stupid lines, but it turned out they had no connections and the wrong motives. I would tell a model starting out to be extremely cautious. Don’t assume anything, ask for references. Make sure an agency is licensed with the state, don’t get scammed! Also, don’t go to photo shoots by yourself.

CMP: Are you a full time model or are you leading secret double life?

Dana Lemor: Hmm…wouldn’t you like to know!

CMP: Have you had that star moment where some stranger has recognized you at the mall in sweats for example?

Dana Lemor:  I have been asked for my autograph on a couple of occasions.

CMP: Have you ever had an embarrassing moment on a shoot or at an event and if so, what happen?

Dana Lemor: On a shoot, no I haven’t. I have had the heel of my shoe break at a promotional event once. It wasn’t that embarrassing though…

CMP: What do you think gives you an edge over other models that don't quite make it?

Dana Lemor: In the modeling industry you have to maintain a positive attitude as well as learn how to deal with rejection. I like challenging myself by setting more goals for myself.

CMP: Where do you see your future in the modeling industry?

Dana Lemor: As my modeling career progresses, I hope to work with more professional, well-known photographers and agents. I hope to obtain more national exposure.

CMP: If you could move anywhere and do anything, where and what would it be?

Dana Lemor: I would move to LA and pursue acting.

CMP: Are there any rumors or persistent stupid questions about you that you want to put to rest for once and for all?

Dana Lemor: I would like people to know that I am not just another pretty face and body. For example, as a college graduate, I had the choice of choosing this profession, it did not choose me!

CMP: Thanks for letting us get to know you a little better and we look forward to hearing more about you in the future. Keep us updated!

Dana Lemor:  Thanks a lot! Please feel free to contact me anytime!
