Let me welcome South Carolina Model Ashley
Nicole to the Carolina Model Project. We recently had chance to work with
Ashley on a photo shoot for the website and interview. 
CMP: So, what
made you want to get into the world of modeling and doing bikini contest?
Ashley: Well,
working at Hooters has opened these doors for me. I competed in the Hooters
bikini contest at my local store and got Top 6. I went down to Charleston to
compete at the Regional’s and that’s where I won Miss 2008 Coastal Carolina.
That was the first contest I had ever won, so needless to say, I was
ecstatic!
CMP: What was
it like winning and representing South Carolina in the Miss Hooters
International?
Ashley: It
was amazing! That was the biggest honor I had ever received. To think out of
all the girls in SC, I went and represented South Carolina. I shot with the
Hooters Calendar. It’s a moment in my life I will never forget!
CMP: One of
our contributing photographers, Patrick Keefe (photorizons.com), went and showed me some of
the pictures that he took of the contest, how crazy was it down there in
Florida with all of those girls?
Ashley: Wow!
Let me start by telling you it was 128 beautiful girls. It was very
intimidating to say the least. You’re all competing for the same thing. I
met some truly amazing people. I made some friends that I hope to see in the
future. But, there were some snobby ones.
CMP: I would
imagine that there was some cattiness, any good fights or hair-pulling going
on?
Ashley:
There was this one girl, she actually got kicked out of the pageant the day
of, and she sprayed hairspray all over her roommates’ evening gown. We tried
to get it dry-cleaned, but it was ruined. Luckily you couldn’t tell from a
distance. Girls can be wicked!!
CMP: Ok, so
by now I guess most reader know that you work at Hooters, how has your
Hooters experience been (if you show up to sit at her table, a minimum tip
of $100 per hour is highly recommended)?
Ashley: I
love working at Hooters. I encourage every pretty girl I know to go and work
at Hooters. It can really open a lot of doors in this industry. Not only
that, its a lot of fun. They’re changing the uniform soon!!
CMP: We shot
some incredible hot and sexy images of you, what do you think about while
you are shooting?
Ashley: I
want to know what I look like! Not knowing if the kind of face you’re making
looks good or not. Kind of makes me feel silly sometimes. I had a lot of fun
though.
CMP: Would
you consider your self a sex symbol?
Ashley: Um,
no not really. Because I’m usually really laid back, don’t get me wrong, I
still look nice. But I don’t over do it. 
CMP: Being
up front about it, the first time I saw you in bikini contest, I asked who
is the girl with the great ass. Which part of your body gets the most
compliments?
Ashley: My
booty! Ever since middle school, it has always been about my butt!
CMP: Do you
think that the industry puts unnecessary pressure on models to look a
certain way? For example, tanning, working out, plastic surgery, etc.
Ashley: No
not at all. I have seen just as many natural models. Whenever I have a
contest or pageant coming up I’ll start preparing by tanning and working
out. But other than that I just try to watch what I eat.
CMP: What
would be ultimate modeling career goal? Playboy?
Ashley: Funny
you ask that. I would actually love to do Playboy, but for some reason I
just don’t see any Southern mother-in-law ever approving a Playboy model as
a daughter-in-law. I don’t know, it’s still up in the air. I really don’t
know, like I said, I’m very new to this, but am open to most anything!
CMP: So
getting to know you a little better, who is Ashley Nicole and what is an
average day in your life like?
Ashley: I
think I’m pretty boring, ha-ha. Well, I’m a full-time Cosmetologist. I work
in a salon Monday thru Friday. And I work at Hooters on Saturday’s. I have a
new puppy named Mako, so he tends to make me want to stay around the house.
He’s my little boy.
CMP: Are you
the spontaneous or homebody type? 
Ashley: I am
a homebody, but I’m definitely spontaneous. I love being at home, there’s no
other feeling than being at home. But, I do tend to have a wild streak. I
love going out with friends and having a good time.
CMP: If you
have to describe yourself in 3 words what would they be?
Ashley:
Southern, Honest, and Loyal.
CMP: What are
the biggest misconceptions people have about you that would like to correct?
Ashley: That
modeling doesn’t make you a snob. I think everyone thinks that I’m so
stuck-up and better than everyone. And I’ve met a lot of people who say “To
be so pretty, you don’t act like your better than anyone.” And that means a
lot.
