Let me welcome Kirsten Leigh to the Carolina Model Project.

CMP: Getting to know you a little better, who is Kirsten Leigh, when there are no cameras, make-up artist and heels?

Kirsten Leigh: I am kind of a home-body, I love animals but I do have a little of a wild side.

CMP: I was reading your bio and you said there is a difference between being raised in Michigan verses California. What are the differences?

Kirsten Leigh: Well, in Michigan where I grew up, sometimes you had to really entertain yourself, there isn't to much to do. I think parenting is a little more strict there too. Parents like to really keep an eye on you!

CMP: What do you do in your spare time?

Kirsten Leigh: In my spare time I like to go horseback riding, watch good movies, and catch up with my friends.

CMP: What are the biggest misconceptions people have about you?

Kirsten Leigh: That I'm just some dumb blonde. Then people are pretty surprised when they hear about all that I have been through. Seems to me that people that don't know me very well are the ones who place judgments.

CMP: Would you consider your self a sex symbol?

Kirsten Leigh: I am a very sexual person but every man has different desires...some desires are blonder than others;)

CMP: If you came with a warning label it would say ____

Kirsten Leigh: WARNING: Due to many broken hearts take care when handling this one.

CMP: Are you interested in doing Playboy or Penthouse and they called, which one would you pick and why?

Kirsten Leigh: Playboy of course because I feel it is more classy but I feel like they are pretty darn picky and Penthouse gives you a look at more variety of girls...I really like that.

CMP: How did you get into the business of modeling?

Kirsten Leigh: I have always loved to be in front of the camera and I started modeling for some smaller clothing companies around the area and I fell in love.

CMP: Did I read your bio correctly that you have picked up model, again? What caused you to stop the first time and what will be different this time?

Kirsten Leigh: When I was younger I did some modeling back in Michigan but now I am pursuing it for my full time job. I have a stronger type of drive behind me this time.

CMP: What about modeling appeals to you?

Kirsten Leigh: I love taking on different characters in my shoots that you aren't aloud to be in every day life. I love seeing my progress too.

CMP: With so many beautiful models out there, what do you think gives you the edge over other models that don't quite make it?

Kirsten Leigh: I never ever give up. I'm pretty strong that way. I believe that I have a real personality inside not like some girls where you wonder if anyone is home haha.

CMP: Many of your images are sexy but still leave something to the imagination, which can be a fine line. Are you able to do that because you are comfortable with your body and are there any pressures to cross that line?

Kirsten Leigh: Everyone wants you to get naked really there is no question about that. Yes, I am comfortable with my body but I know that there will be a time and place to show "the goods"

CMP: Do you think that the industry puts unnecessary pressure on models to look a certain way with unrealistic expectations? For example, tanning, working out, plastic surgery, rail thin, etc.

Kirsten Leigh: Absolutely, I know so. I have felt a lot of frustration with that because I am not tall and I am not the skinniest girl around. You will never usually be perfect enough for everyone so I try to be "healthy" and feel good about myself because it comes across in photos how I feel. I do like tanning though It feels so relaxing haha.

CMP: What has been the feed back from family and friends about your modeling?

Kirsten Leigh: Some of my family seems shocked, haha. But most of my family is very proud of me for doing what I said I planned to do and succeeding at it.

CMP: Where else can we find you on the web and are there any up and coming projects that we need to be looking out for?

Kirsten Leigh: www.kirstenskreamery.com is a site that is under construction right now. There is still some brainstorming over what I plan to do with it but as of now it is my blog with some fun new "yummy" pictures:) Also I am featured in the 2010 California glamour girls calendar. and I am working on getting in to these magazines but I want to work on my body a little more before then:)
